About Forever Florida
The Harvest Music Jam is hosted at Forever Florida. There are many aspects of Forever Florida, including the Allen Broussard Conservancy, the Crescent J Ranch, and Florida Eco-Safaris. They each offer fascinating looks at Wild Florida! You can experience a Florida pioneer's life, see historic cattle, horses, and oxen, endangered/threatened plants and animals all from the back of a horse, high atop a safari coach, or while zipping through the treetops on the Horseback Safari, Coach Safari, and Florida's first and only Zipline Safari.
The proceeds from the Harvest Music Jam benefit the Allen Broussard Conservancy (ABC). The ABC is a wildlife conservation organization located within the 4700 acres known as Forever Florida. The land encompasses nine distinct ecosystems, pristinely preserved. The ABC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, focuses on conservation through education and experience.
While at Forever Florida you can enjoy natural streams, forests, pastures, wetlands and learn about the wide array of wildlife including alligators, black bears, white-tail deer and endangered Florida panthers. The Crescent J Ranch, a picturesque Florida ranch, features a living museum of Spanish Colonial Cattle and Florida's unique Cracker Horses that descended from the cattle and horses of Juan Ponce de Leon's.
About Allen
Saving Florida's wilderness was Allen Broussard's dream. He loved roaming the area next to the family's Crescent J Ranch as a boy. When he became a Wildlife Ecologist, he came to understand its ecological value. Dr. William Broussard, a 10th generation rancher from Louisiana, and his wife, Margaret, made Allen's dream come true after his all-too-early passing just four days after his 29th birthday due to complications from Hodgkin's Disease. Dr. & Mrs. Broussard founded the Allen Broussard Conservancy for the purpose of purchasing the land, now known as Forever Florida, and maintaining it as a wildlife preserve.
In keeping with Allen's dream, the mission of the Allen Broussard Conservancy is to preserve and protect the fragile ecosystems of Florida's native wilderness, provide a permanent habitat for wildlife, maintain its historical ranching operation and educate the public about the importance of conservation and the preservation of our unique heritage.
Keeping The Dream Alive
Visitors to Forever Florida make a positive impact on the environment as 30% of proceeds go toward the purchase of additional lands to be preserved and furthering conservation education. By becoming a member of Friends of Forever Florida you help ensure that future generations will always have a place to visit their natural heritage. Together, we can make Allen's dream of conserving Florida's wilderness a reality.
